ROBERT SMALL WINS PRESTIGIOUS ERNST & YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR 2008
Robert Small, CEO and Co-founder of Miniclip, wins top entrepreneurial accolade
London, UK - June, 19th, 2008- Robert Small, CEO and Co-founder of Miniclip Limited, has won the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2008, London succeeding amongst finalists including The Big Issue, TM Lewin and other internationally renowned companies. Robert, aged 32, picked up this award at the Hilton this evening in front of an audience of over 600 of London's entrepreneurs, business people, the media and the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson. The new Mayor praised the entrepreneurial spirit of the London finalists and charmed the audience with a quick witted speech in which he also outlined some of his many objectives to support London businesses.
Robert Small co-founded Miniclip in 2001, aged 24, and in seven years has built the largest online games website with over 43 million unique users per month. Miniclip games are extremely popular because they are fun, mostly free, high quality and instantly playable. Miniclip introduces two new games every week and currently has over 500 titles in its game catalogue, and is the largest privately held entertainment portal.

This year's London awards saw a special lifetime achievement accolade being awarded to Terence Conran, a visionary leader who was recognised for playing a pioneering role in educating both British business and the general public on the value of both industrial and domestic design and leading the regeneration of the South Bank. Following the award ceremony, Rob Small said "I'm honoured to receive this award from Ernst & Young, especially amongst such stiff competition and with such prestigious business men present, like Sir Terence Conran and Sir Keith Mills."
Robert Small, the London region's overall winner, will now go forward to compete against the best business leaders from Scotland, Wales and England in the national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards to be held in October 2008.
