Reporting to the General Counsel, the main responsibility of the role will be to provide commercially focused privacy advice to Miniclip and its group companies while supporting the Data Protection Officer in cross-functional privacy compliance operations.
The work of the legal team is diverse; the team advises all business units on contractual and regulatory issues. Our work covers corporate, commercial, compliance, intellectual property, and data protection issues, amongst others. Additionally, the team supports the work of the HR, advertising, and finance teams.
Your duties would touch on a number of areas and would include drafting and negotiating a range of contracts with third parties, including game license, mobile publishing and advertising agreements.
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified as a solicitor in a top tier private practice law firm, with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE; in-house experience will also be considered.
Knowledge and understanding of data protection laws, including GDPR.
Superlative drafting skills.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to juggle conflicting demands and effectively prioritise and be able to work on own initiative.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Discreet and able to deal with confidential and/or sensitive issues and information.
An interest in the mobile and gaming industry and keen to learn more about it.
Reviewing and negotiating privacy and data protection terms with third parties, including GDPR addendums.
Advising on data processing agreements, international data transfers, and maintaining templates.
Conducting, advising on, and reviewing DPIAs.
Actioning and project managing data subject requests (DSRs); including working closely with our customer support and technical teams on responding to and actioning data subject rights (including the rights to erasure and access).
Providing support during incidents and suspected data breaches.
Assisting with our training and awareness programs and conducting internal audits.
Continuing to review, test and finesse our policies and procedures for data protection-related issues.
Keeping up to date with GDPR guidance and relevant legal decisions that may impact our processing of personal data; and
You will also be expected to keep abreast of data protection developments in other key regions where Miniclip operates and make necessary recommendations regarding compliance.
