Miniclip is supporting the fantastic work done by the Rotaract United for Nepal project, following the earthquake which hit the region in 2015.
Rotaract is a program of Rotary International whose objective is to give the tools and opportunities for young leaders, aging from 18 to 30 years, to develop and grow their abilities through fellowship and service to the world’s community. In 2015 Rotaract Clubs from Austria, England and Italy began a project called “Rotaract United for Nepal” to help reconstruct a school affected by the earthquake which hit Nepal on April 15 2015.
To make this come true, a fund-raising campaign was developed which quickly spread throughout the Rotarian community and soon enough it became a worldwide cause!
Seeing this worthy cause Miniclip decided to join the fold and make its own donation helping the project to reach its final target.
After months of hard work the Rotaract Club was finally able to find a reliable partner with which to work on the school construction. An agreement was signed with “namaste – Hilfe für Nepal e.V.”, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building schools in Nepal, and through this union and the help of the Khushi Foundation Nepal the plan for the construction of a school in Tatopani was drawn.
This plan was later accepted by the necessary authorities and as such the construction of the school has begun!
You can see the Vlog of one of the Rotaract United for Nepal organizers who has recently travelled to Nepal for a firsthand experience:
The crowdfunding continues as more materials are needed for the construction and maintenance of the school so if you would like to participate you can donate to the cause here:
We at Miniclip continue to closely follow this project and are proud to have been able to help with this cause.
“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much!”
